Lush undergrowth of Ortigon (Urtica morifolia) endemic nettle, fayal brezal type Laurisylve on the island of El Hierro, Canary Islands. This type of humid forest is found on very humid ridges subject to the trade winds, causing a "horizontal rain" of nearly 1500 mm/year and is dominated by lauraceae, ferns and mosses.
