White-tailed Deer shot and hunter Saint-Pierre and Miquelon ; This year hunting "deer" opens Sept. 19 for a month. There are about 450 deer hunters, with a quota allowed by a deer hunter. The deer, North American ungulate, was introduced in 1953 in southern Langlade, and gradually proliferate to the Cape of Miquelon. The massive impact of deer on forest regeneration is well established, and local damage is already dramatic. This process is well understood by local naturalists, seems still largely "unaware" of the hunting community, whose political and social influence is enormous. The quota by a deer hunter this year is considered by many as excessive, because that might endanger the deer population. However, the counts made by the federation of hunters probably underestimate the actual lot size of the population.White-tailed Deer shot and hunter Saint-Pierre and Miquelon White-tailed Deer shot and hunter Saint-Pierre and Miquelon ; This year hunting "deer" opens Sept. 19 for a month.
