Mise bas d'éléphant de mer Mexique ; Femelle venant de mettre bas dans l'eau et son petit. Les petits naissent normalement sur les plages . Celui-ci, né à plusieurs mêtres du bord, a dû immédiatement nager pour rejoindre la plage, d'où son air un peu "effaré". Mise bas liée à l'étroitesse de cette plage à marée haute, et au ressac.
Faune et flore endémiques de l'île protégées et étudiées.
