Laying ganivelles dunes on the Curonian Miquelon-Langlade ; The team in charge of seasonal installation ganivelles in the dunes of the Curonian Miquelon - Langlade, the "buttereaux" to stabilize and fight against soil erosion by wind and devegetation. This is - reintegration contracts - hiring by the City of Miquelon. 7 people this year, 6 month contract from July to December. The rest of the year, most of them simply Assedic. They lay an average of about 90m ganivelles day. The ganivelles are in the form of fences made of sticks of wood 1m high, connected together by iron son. Pressed about 30cm in the sand dunes, they retain the sand trap happens and to prevent it from leaving. They therefore hold the dunes in place. After several years of trial and error, it seems to walk better and better, cf. photos. The ganivelles eventually disappear under the sand. So we can always add it to continue to grow to the dune.Laying ganivelles dunes on the Curonian Miquelon-LangladeLaying ganivelles dunes on the Curonian Miquelon-Langlade ; The team in charge of seasonal installation ganivelles in the dunes of the Curonian Miquelon - Langlade, the "buttereaux" to stabilize and fight against soil erosion by wind and devegetation.
