Coral Grouper (Cephalopholis miniata). WRECK "British Loyalty". A 140-meter-long, 5,583-ton oil tanker built in 1928 at the Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company shipyards in Newcastle, England. After several war incidents, the British Loyalty was torpedoed again by a German submarine, the U-183, causing severe damage. Although it did not sink, it was rendered unusable. Too badly damaged to sail, it was stranded in Addu until the end of the war. Today it lies at a depth of 33 meters. Artificial reef. Maldives, Southern Hemisphere. Indian Ocean.
