Christophe Ravier

I was born in Besancon, France, and I am now living in a village in the Rhine bassion in the middle of the Alsatian lowland. In 2008 I discovered wildlife and naturalistic photography and that became a passion. The pleasure to wake up before dawn never left me since and my attraction towards naturalistic photography through the seasons always kept reinforcing the tie between me and my surrounding, but also the pleasure to see, understand and make one with nature.

My small paradise is on the bank of the Rhine, in the Rossmoerder alluvial forest. In this natural reserve I spend most of my free time. I really love to use the floating blind but also to be on my knees in the wet grass.
I also like to alternate between the wonder of the morning meetings and the in-depth work of a chosen theme that sometimes allows me to add travelling to my passion.

As chairman of the ‘Focales Nature’ organization, I am committed to let our countrymen discover the amazing pictures of Alsatian photographers every year since 2010 in our ‘Focales Nature’ festival in Offendorf.
