Robin Fourré

I was born on March 23rd 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. Adopted when I was three months old, I grew up in the heart of the Vienne valley. As I come from a rural background I have always felt the urge to live nature from within. I spent hours in the mountains watching the last rays of sunshine disappearing behind the peaks in the quiet of a summer evening on the shores of the Vienne river – I then gradually forged an unfailing love for nature.

I began taking pictures by my father’s side, and today I take great pride in this belated sharing of a common passion. Eclectic in my choice of subjects for a long time, photography has now made me focus on a certainty I have had since my early childhood: a Wonderful World lies before us. This miniature world is just waiting to be discovered, provided that we linger for a little while over the hectic life of these minuscule ambassadors.

Landscape engineer by training, I still like being able to immortalize landscapes and plant peculiarities. I now have the feeling I am touching the universe I have been looking for all these years, since I currently dedicate most of my time shooting in macro-studio. This technique enables me to combine the pleasure I take in making pictures to the love and respect I have for nature by farming a large part of my subjects. My photographic choices have no other aim than making forget the highly technical montage needed to breathe life into this oneiric World.
