Tobias Bernhard is originally from Germany where he trained and worked as a graphic designer.
He moved to Oceania en 1991 where he merged his passion for the underwater world with his creative interest through underwater photography. He has been a full time photographer since 1996.
Since then he has won numerous international awards, most notably the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the year 2001 Award.
Tobi lives and works with his wife Neelam on their dive expedition vessel, a converted fishing boat on which they frequently explore remote corners of the South Pacific in search of rare animal encounters.
