Pierre-Bernard Cognein

I was born on the 25th of August in Bron, a city next to Lyon, France.
My first photo experiment was the analog chemical process. My father used to have pictures developed for his job and through this I could have interest in negative development and then to shooting itself. I had some 24 x 36 and 6 x 6 single-lens reflex camera. Then I changed for a digital camera, a Canon G5 and then a 30D reflex. But not a long time ago, I sold all my equipment to come back to something that’s essential for me, simplicity and lightness.
I am now equipped with a Nikon DX digital camera, a few simple lenses and a sigma 120/300 2.8 zoom device. I shoot the animals a lot and I wanted to combine this passion with black and white photography. I always think of my pictures before so the black and white technic can be used on them.
