Régis Cavignaux

Working as a veterinary doctor and passionate with wild fauna since I’m a child, photography is a way for me to share and keep something concrete of all the observations and naturalistic tries I made.

I joined the Bios Agency as soon as it began.

Everything that lives matters to me and after having travelled all around the Lorraine woods and fields, I extanded the places I would visit and I was a direct witness of the slow but important degradation of the environment.

When I capture insects in my garden or wild animals in the African savannah, the pleasure remains still.

I love to follow species for a long time and all along the seasons to witness their different behaviors.

I’m sure that we don’t capture what we know well !

I published my first picture book in 2002, it was untitled ‘’Instants voles” and gathered 25 years of travel and passion including free animals.

My pictures draw the attention in a few national and international photography contests, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year of the BBC in 2004 and 2007.
