Saverio Gatto is an italian Nature Photographer mostly specialised in Bird Photography.
He started to take his first images in 1994 and since then he has collected thousand of images of Birds of Western Paleartic. His interest in photography is a natural consequence of his passion for Nature, which was born with him on 1975.
He has travelled thoughout the Europe, Northern Africa and Middle East without relying on tour operators or local guides in order to explore the wildest places according to his needs.
Saverio Gatto won the ‘Best Portrait’ category at Bird Photography Of the Year in 2018 and the ‘Human an nature’ category at Asferico2019. He organizes workshops, photography courses and travels in the best destinations for photography and birdwatching.
He hopes that his images can bring the beauty of Nature among people in orther to make them aware of what we are going to lose if we still continue to neglect the world and its wilderness.
