Située sur le banc de l'Iris, au nord de l'île de Mayotte, cette magnifique arche est connue de très peu de plongeurs. L'accès y est difficile, de par l'éloignement des côtes mais aussi par le très fort courant marin qui se trouve dans cette zone. Lors de cette exploration, nous étions quatre plongeurs dont trois étaient en circuit ouvert et moi en recycleur à circuit fermé. Pour réaliser cette photo, j'ai du attendre que mes compères s'éloignent de l'arche pour rester seul à 60 mètres de profondeur dans ce lieu aux allures psychédéliques perdu au milieu de l'océan. Seulement quelques secondes après leur départ, un requin gris de récif est venu planer dans le bleu à l'aplomb de l'arche.
