Ses feuilles, disposées en rosette, sont d’un vert jaunâtre et donnent, au toucher, une sensation grasse due à des gouttes de mucilage. Celles-ci brillent, attirant les moucherons qui se retrouvent collés à la feuille. Ainsi piégés, les insectes sont alors digérés par des enzymes
