This Cape petrel (Daption capense) followed the ferry that connects the North Island to the South Island of New Zealand crossing the Cook Strait. Several individuals of Cape Petrel followed the ferry flying in the brewed waters produced by the boat, giving a turquoise blue color to the water. I was then on the deck of the boat and therefore tried to compose a graphic photograph with the sea of intense blue color and this very contrasting bird flying waves in waves. This image was taken in September 2018 in the Cook strait located between the North Island and the South Island of New Zealand.
