Mediterranean banded centipede, Scolopendra cingulata. Last body segment detail. It’s an opportunistic carnivore. It will attack and consume almost any animal that is not larger than itself. These include insects, worms, spiders and moths, and have been known to devour young mice and small lizards. The Scolopendra's main weapon is its bite, which paralyses its prey. It delivers a bite, which can cause inflammation and pain in the affected limb. Portugal
