Chilean gunnera in fruit in Chilean Patagonia ; Giant rhubarb or Nalca growing in a dense vegetation
Gunnera tinctoria. This plant has extremely large leaves. The stems are edible. The leaves are used to cover the curanto, traditional meal cooked in an owen, dug in the ground. The leaves separe the ingredients (shelfish, saussage, meat, vegetables ...).
