Red encrusting calcareous alga of Coralligenous Spain ; This calcareous alga takes part in the formation of the coralligenous. They are fixed on the rocks from 20 to 25 meters and up to 60 meters in clearer water. Their successive generations are in permanent competition with here a gray sponge (Phorbas tenacior) bored itself by small anemones (Parazoanthus axinella).
