Vincent Premel is a biologist and wildlife photographer specializing in reptiles and amphibians. Originally from Brittany, he has been living in South America since 2013, where he focuses his research and photographic work on tropical ecosystems. His academic career took him from French Guiana to Réunion, then on to a master's degree completed between Ecuador and Peru, with the aim of studying and promoting Amazonian environments.
Based in French Guiana, he regularly explores the tropical forests of Ecuador, Peru, and Panama to document the biodiversity of these regions. His images bear witness to the richness of Amazonian habitats and the diversity of species, with a particular focus on amphibians and reptiles, which are often difficult to observe.
A naturalist and photographer, Vincent Premel combines his scientific training with a demanding visual practice, producing photographs and videos that are both accurate and educational. His work illustrates Amazonian fauna in all its complexity and is a valuable resource for publishing, scientific mediation, and conservation projects.
