German-born and based in Andalusia, Thomas Dressler travels the vast wilderness of the African continent, from Namibia to Kenya, in search of rare light, unique atmospheres and visually powerful natural scenes.
Self-taught, he started out as a tourist guide before devoting himself fully to photography. His eye, both sensitive and rigorous, captures the majesty of wild animals - lions, giraffes, elephants - as well as the graphic power of desert landscapes, often photographed in low light or from the air. His unique approach combines patient observation, compositional research and immersion in nature.
A prize-winner in international competitions, notably the ND Awards, Thomas Dressler is also the author of several photographic books and regularly collaborates with magazines such as Geo, BBC Wildlife and National Geographic.
His work highlights the richness of biodiversity and the fragile beauty of wild spaces, with a deep commitment to the preservation of living things. Through Thomas Dressler's lens, nature becomes story, silence and emotion.
