Philippe Moës is a Belgian nature photographer with a passion for nature and wide open spaces. Born in Lubumbashi, Africa, he trained in agronomy and education, giving him dual scientific and teaching skills. Based in the Ardennes, he is a self-taught nature photographer, paying close attention to light, composition, detail, and respect for the natural environment.
The author of numerous books on the nature of Western Europe and Africa, Philippe Moës documents natural heritage through images of landscapes, flora, fauna, and local biodiversity. He offers introductory courses in nature photography, where he shares his methods (macro photography, landscape photography, light control, ethical approach to the subject), as well as his knowledge of ecosystems. These activities also allow him to accompany photographic trips to regions rich in biodiversity.
His work is regularly published in specialist publications, exhibited, and distributed through nature-focused galleries. His collaboration with Biosphoto increase the visibility of his images among informed amateurs and professionals. Through photography, Philippe Moës seeks to raise awareness of the fragility of natural environments and the need for conservation, based on careful observation of living things, ethical commitment, and faithful rendering of ecological reality.
