A wildlife photographer based in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, Patrick Glaume focuses his work on European wildlife, with particular attention to large mammals such as the red deer. His approach is based on prolonged observation of species in their natural habitat, in-depth knowledge of their behaviour, and mastery of field techniques (spotting, stalking, light management).
A native of the Bugey region (Ain, France), he developed a keen interest in the wildlife and landscapes of his environment from an early age. After his first contact with wildlife photography in his teens, he took up the practice again as an adult with a more structured objective: to document the dynamics of living things and help raise public awareness of the ecological value of our natural heritage.
In 2006, he published his first article in Image & Nature on the ‘Nature in Motion’ project, an approach that highlights the interactions between species, seasons and environments. He joined the Biosphoto agency in 2007 and since then has pursued a photographic career focused on passing on naturalist knowledge through courses, publications and exhibitions.
His images, produced in a real-life context, aim to make visible the fragile balance between species and habitats, using a discreet method that respects the observation conditions.
