Pasquale Vassallo, an Italian underwater photographer, explores the marine biodiversity of the Gulf of Naples and beyond the reefs of the world.

Pasquale Vassallo is an underwater photographer and marine biologist from Naples. Trained in marine production at Federico II University, he documents the richness of marine ecosystems with scientific rigor. His work focuses on both macro photography and wide-angle underwater photography in environments such as the Gulf of Naples, where the diversity of benthic fauna and invertebrates offers a privileged field of observation.

He has won several international awards in the field of marine photography, including the Plongeur d'Or, Underwater Photographer of the Year (Marine Conservation), WorldShootOut Environmental, and the Siena Awards. His images appear in national and international magazines, and he acts as a guide/photo consultant in underwater parks such as Baia and those of the Ischia & Procida archipelago. In addition, he is committed to marine conservation, using his photographs as visual evidence of the fragility of underwater habitats.

His approach combines a passion for the ocean with a commitment to documentary accuracy. He favors photography as a tool for raising awareness: direct observation, respect for species and environments, technical clarity, and color accuracy. Through his exhibitions, articles, and collaborations, Pasquale Vassallo contributes to strengthening knowledge of marine ecosystems and encouraging their protection through the scientific and aesthetic value of his images.
