Laurent Lhoté is a French professional nature photographer based in Anglet, in south-west France. For several years now, he has been developing a body of work focusing on tropical environments, particularly in French Polynesia, the West Indies and other island territories.
His approach combines documentary requirements and aesthetic sensitivity. He captures the richness of coastal and tropical ecosystems: white sandy beaches, coconut palms, rainforests, lagoons, mangroves... His images are marked by a particular attention to light and atmosphere, revealing the fragile harmony between landscapes, vegetation and marine environments.
A professional since 2014, his work, which is both rigorous and evocative, aims to raise public awareness of the beauty and diversity of tropical environments.
