Jean-Baptiste Strobel has built his work at the crossroads of photography, science and nature. An ecology engineer and geographer, he has worked with organisations such as the CNRS, the Norwegian Polar Institute and several reserves, leading expeditions in polar environments - including a 14-month wintering in Terre Adélie - as well as missions across Europe.
With his guidebook in hand and camera slung over his shoulder, he also offers self-guided photo trips and courses in wildlife observation and ornithology, in France (Jura, Alps, Vercors, etc.) and abroad (Norway, Greenland, Mongolia, etc.). His naturalist photographer's eye gives life to rich and varied series: grandiose landscapes, agricultural and forestry worlds, human and territorial documentaries.
A regular contributor to the press and institutions, he excels in reports combining the environment, science and society. His images tell stories: the evolution of territories, the relationship between man and nature, the gestures of living beings. At the same time, as a corporate photographer, he knows how to capture the human essence with accuracy and elegance.
