A former jurist, a great reporter and then a naturalist photographer: an atypical career to discover.
Franck Fouquet is a French photographer renowned for his unique approach, combining field journalism and nature photography. Trained as a lawyer, he soon gave up law to devote himself to his passion for images and reportage. From an early age, he traveled the world, from East Africa to the far reaches of Europe, capturing both the faces of current events and the raw beauty of the wilderness.
Winner of numerous awards - including the Hasselblad Grand Prix and the Fujifilm Prize - he has a dual career: as a reporter covering conflicts or humanitarian crises, and as a naturalist photographer committed to preserving the environment. His work is regularly published in GEO, National Geographic, Paris Match, Le Figaro Magazine, Le Point, Time Magazine and The Washington Post.
Author of some twenty books, he also founded his own publishing house, TAU Éditions, to defend independent, sensitive and demanding photography. Today, he focuses mainly on European wildlife and endangered natural areas, with an eye that is both aesthetic and committed. Through his images and stories, Franck Fouquet invites us to see the world differently and to question our place in the living world.
