André Pascal is a French architect by training who turned to nature photography, based in Saint-Quay-Portrieux in Brittany. Originally from Madagascar, he has been exploring the world of macro photography since the late 2000s, capturing details invisible to the naked eye: insects, bark, minerals and natural textures.
He has exhibited regularly in the region, notably in Lannion, Plérin and Saint-Quay, where his series reveal the richness and diversity of nature. Involved in local cultural life, he also takes part in photo competitions as a professional and juror.
Represented by the Biosphoto agency since 1998, André Pascal develops projects combining macro-photography, landscapes and exotic nature portraits, with a particular focus on tropical environments, notably in Indonesia. He is also preparing a book combining images and text to share his sensitive and detailed vision of nature.
His singular career path, between architecture and photography, bears witness to an approach that is attentive to the hidden beauty and fragility of small natural worlds.
