This month's selection of new images covers a wide variety of subjects, including fauna, flora, and landscapes, with a constant focus on accurate species identification, observable behaviors, and ecological contexts. Scenes of animal life (birds, mammals, insects, reptiles, and amphibians) are juxtaposed with European and North American landscapes, from temperate forest environments to Arctic zones, not to mention the tropical environments of Southeast Asia.
European fauna is widely represented, with many iconic species documented in their habitats: red deer (Cervus elaphus), red fox (Vulpes vulpes), common crane (Grus grus), white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) and a rich entomofauna including mantises, dragonflies, butterflies, and beetles.
