Canada did know this year a particularly snow-covered winter and according to the main climatologist of Environnement Canada Dave Phillips, it doesn't seem to be ready to change. Indeed, records of snowy precipitations have been recorded in several regions of Canada, equalling historic values (more than 4 meters) recorded at the end of the 30s. This period of cold weather, which should continue during six weeks, will certainly entail some modifications in the various Canadian ecosystems that, in normal time, should get ready to the arrival of the spring. |
