General remarks
This "help" tool can be used for pictures researches as well as for footages ones.
Type the full word, without truncating him, to the infinitive and singular.
You can type words in lower-case or in capital letters, with or without an accent, with or without a dash.
You can search with words or image references.
Don't use + - | signs or the words
AND OR NOT as Boolean operators.

Keywords search scan the entire database : title, legends and indexed keywords.
So you have a larger search result.
Search with only one keyword or one picture or video clip reference
Type one word or a picture or video clip reference in one of the field and validate by typing on "Enter" or by clicking on "image search". If the result brings too much noise, refine search either by using several words, or by using the advanced search.
Search with several keywords or several picture or video clip references
Search with Boolean operators AND OR NOT (EXCEPT)
3 search possibilities with several words or several pictures or video clips references :
1. Type a word or a picture or video clip reference per field and select a Boolean operator.
2. Type in the same field several words or picture or video clip references separated by a blank. The selected Boolean operator will make the search fine or wide. (Advice : in this case don’t use NOT).
3. Put a word group or an exact phrase in quotation marks to reduce noise (out of topic pictures or video clips). Example : the " blue whale " species put within quotation marks excludes the words " whale " and " blue " from the search result. Only the " blue whale " pictures or video clips will be displayed.
You can search with scientific name, genus and / or species.
E.g. : if you search for “ lion ” you’ll find pictures or video clips of lions and pictures or video clips of lion-tamarins. If you search for Panthera leo, only pictures or video clips of lions will be displayed.
Advanced search
Display all the categories that contain the typing word, so you can choose your search subject.
Ex. : Spider

The
Detailed list option brings up a larger choice of categories containing the word "spider", for example all spider species details.
Search by categories
You can type a word in the field under the list, or select a word in this list.
List will automatically open or close, in order to display only the interesting words in relationship with the typed word.
pictures or video clips display will automatically update in accordance with search parameters.

Inside categories
the keyword search scans only the pictures or video clips indexed with these keywords.
Thanks to this process, you have a finer search result.
With only one keyword
1. Click on the
One word only tab.
2. You could possibly use the field under the list to find a special keyword. The finding elements are in bold type and you can read on top of the tab
One word only how many were found.
3. You can just as easily open or close the list thanks to the dark arrow to find keywords.
4. Click on the keyword to display pictures or video clips linked with it on the right window.
With several keywords
Using different keywords allows you to refine your search. You can choose to include or exclude keywords.
1. Click on
several words tab.
2. If there are keywords above the list, delete them with the cross at the right of each word.
3. Open or close thesaurus with the dark arrow to find keywords.
4. To select keywords click on them one by one. The chosen keywords are displayed above the list.
5. Choose the linking keywords operator with the icon
to the left of the words.
To modify a search with several keywords you can :
Modify the linking operators words.
Or delete some or all keywords with a click on the cross to the right of the words.

Use of the lightbox
The lightbox allows you to stock selections and easily go back over for changing the content.
Add pictures or video clips to your lightbox
Click on the "lightbox button", under the selected picture or video clip. Button becomes orange, which means that the picture or video clip is well added to your lightbox.
Visualize a lightbox under editing
Click on the word "lightbox" in the tools bar.
Delete pictures or video clips in a lightbox (one by one)
Two possibilities:
1/ Click on the button "delete" under each picture or video clip. The lightbox is automatically and immediately updated.
2/ Tick on the cell near the picture or video clip number that you want to delete. Repeat it for all pictures or video clips that you want to delete. Then, click on the cell "delete selected images" and the lightbox is updated. "
Empty your RM lightbox in one click
Click on the grey button "empty your lightbox". Take care, if you have RM and RF images and if you are on the tab "all images", all images will be deleted.
If you want to delete only your RM or RF lightbox, leave the "all images" tab and go on the requested tab before clicking on "empty your lightbox".
Register a lightbox
You need to be logged to reach this function.
Click on the button "register your lightbox". In the pop-up windows, fill in your lightbox title (eventually with comments) then confirm.
The registered lightbox is not immediately modifiable. If you still want to work on it, use the button "modify your lightbox". As soon as your selection is finished, don't forget to register your modifications using the button "register your lightbox".
Reminder: this record will always overwrite the previous record - even if you changed the title.
A lightbox registration automatically leads to create a new lightbox.
Access to registered lightboxes
Use the button "see all your lightboxes"
If there are no pictures or video clips on your lightbox, you can directly access with the cell "lightbox" in the toolbar.
You can visualize, modify, delete or buy selection (to create a basket) directly from this page.
Modify a registered lightbox
From the recapitulative page of registered lightboxes, click on "modify" under the chosen lightbox.
Take care; the lightbox will open overwriting the lightbox under editing (if you have one under editing).
Then; addition and deletion of pictures or video clips are possible.
When your work is finished, don't forget to register your lightbox.
Reminder: this record will always overwrite the previous record - even if you have changed the title.
Buy Selection (change your lightbox in basket)
From the page "lightboxes", use the corresponding cell under the selected lightbox. pictures or video clips will automatically be added in your basket.
This request is also accessible from the lightbox in editing.
Redirect a lightbox
Use the button "email selection".
Take care, the sent lightbox is not stocked in your account. You have to firstly register the lightbox before sending it if you want to also keep it.
Helpful Hints for improving your garden research
For the research by keywords, these hints can help you to gain time
.
Ordinary research of plants:
- Privilege the use of plants Latin names. It's the best way to obtain a maximum of answers. To find them, write the English name then click on the picture: the Latin translation systematically appears in the keywords list.
- For plants varieties, you can use all or part of the name without any quotation marks.
- Plants have different development steps: specify it if you want a plant in flower, with the fruits or with colourful leaves
For example : « viburnum » + « berry » give you pictures of Viburnum in fructification
- Don't hesitate to precise the wanted colour of a flower (especially when the flower has several cultivars like the rose). Keywords like "studio", "bouquet", "vegetal composition" or "still life" give you pictures of cut and displayed vegetables.
- Plants in a house have their own keyword: "houseplant"
Research of Garden atmosphere:
- Atmosphere pictures are classified according to the shot value: "garden scenery" represents a general view of a garden, usually composed by a flower bed, lawn or a garden accessory. "flower massif" or "garden border" are a composition of several flowers in a garden or along a path; "plant combination" present close up of two or three plants
- For "jar or pot" atmospheres, the distinction is between "garden terrace", bigger than "flowered balcony", and "pot plant" which is a close up of a pot.
Keywords may help you to find atmosphere ideas according to the season, like "garden path" or "garden furniture", "resting place in garden"...
- In case of a research on a specific famous garden, you can use terms like "public garden", or "known garden" or "private garden" with its geographic localisation.
Research of garden gesture:
- Traditional garden gestures have their own keywords, like "cutting" or "sowing". But to avoid any confusion with agriculture, use the keyword "gardening" to precise your research.
- If you research all garden gestures for a specific timing (season, month), you can use the keyword "gardening" with the requested period.
- Couple it with keywords like "child" or "woman" if you want to have human beings on the picture.
- You can use the keyword "sequence" to obtain series of gardening pictures.
